Might be a good time to get out and enjoy the fresh air. I mean, really we only have a little while left before cars will be sliding through intersections and people will be outside in full snow-armor grumpily shoveling steps and walks; glaring about like someone stole their puppy. There are lots of things to do in Edmonton, it just takes a few seconds to look for and find that something, but massive will-power to actually get out to DO it.
I have found through my own limited efforts to get in better shape that just getting outside and going for a walk can dramatically change your body over time. Just the simple act of moving around can make a huge difference. I'm told it sends the message to the brain that you really are not after all intent on becoming pear shaped. Which in my book is a good thing. Perhaps if the idea of becoming the next Chuck Norris or an Olympic swimmer makes you shy away from getting in shape it might be good just to take small steps. Start with drinking plenty of water and going out for a stroll once a day. Even if you drive somewhere like a mall and go shopping, this will help.
